We had a two-week long art time with Beate Möller. We started with sketches from the world around us, and then got to know the technique of pointillism. It was a great challenge to express everything with only dots. But it also was a discovery, and led some children into deep meditation.
In the second week, we devoted ourselves to acrylic painting, specifically to themes from the city of Odemira. It was about drawing in perspective, and then about inspiring the feeling of a Portuguese town through the colors. The children managed this beautifully, and it gave them a sense of achievement to have created those paintings after a few hours work. We want to make a calendar for 2016 out of those paintings.
